Responsible Statecraft is a leading online publication focused on international relations and responsible governance. It provides policymakers, scholars, and the public with in-depth analysis, commentary, and reports on global affairs. The platform aims to challenge conventional wisdom and promote informed debate on key global issues.
In 2023, Responsible Statecraft partnered with RebelMouse to enhance their digital presence and improve their site’s performance, user experience, and SEO. This collaboration aimed to support the publication’s growth and ensure it remained a leading voice in global affairs.
When Responsible Statecraft approached RebelMouse for a website redesign, they were looking to enhance SEO performance and improve user experience. As the UX/UI designer on the project, I led the design transformation.
• Brand Identity: I designed a new logo and selected modern typography to refresh and unify the brand identity.
• Enhanced Navigation: We updated the main navigation to include a dropdown menu for regions and highlighted key topics.
• Segmented Layouts: The homepage and article pages were redesigned with segmented layouts for better organization and user experience.
• Mobile Responsiveness: Ensuring the website was fully responsive, I optimized the mobile navigation and article page design for a seamless user experience across all devices.
This redesign resulted in a visually appealing and highly functional website, effectively communicating Responsible Statecraft’s vision and significantly improving traffic and reader engagement post-launch. 1
