A licensed guide meets you at our door and walks you to the cathedral, 10 minutes away.
Inside, you look up at a nave about 44 metres high, and the guide shows you the canopy by Gaudí and the ceramic mural by Miquel Barceló, which is 12 metres high. Then the cathedral's own visit takes you up to the terraces for an hour. You walk among the flying buttresses, pass the main rose window and see the bell tower up close.
The terraces open April to November, Monday to Friday. The route is demanding. It doesn't suit anyone with vertigo, a heart or breathing condition, or limited mobility.
